Recycle old CD's and DVD's

Don’t you just hate throwing or worse yet, shredding, CD’s or DVD’s away? I do!

Yes…it’s true you can put them through a shredder but what happens after that?

Here are some easy and fun ways to recycle old CD’s and DVD’s:

Drink Coasters – Glue felt to the bottom and viola’

Mix into a Photo Collage.

Hang from a tree to keep birds away from your garden.

Make a CD bowl – Put in the oven on low heat over a metal bowl or heat with a hair dryer. Once softened you can gently bend them into a shape. Seal hole if necessary.

Driveway Reflectors – Glue to a stick and pound into the ground. That’s easy!

Wallpaper Border – Glue all around the room. Cool!

Picture Frame – Glue disks to wood to create a picture frame.

Sun Catcher – Glue label sides together. Run fishing line through the hole and hang. Sparkly!

CD Mobile - Glue label sides together. Run fishing line through the hole and hang. Sparkly!

Found Object Art – Break up CD’s and glue into a mosaic tile piece.

CD Clock – buy clockworks at the craft store. There’s already a hole there:)

Tree Ornaments of course - use your creativity!

Paint, embellish or decorate old disks….the sky’s the limit!
