We're Never Done, Until We're Done. - Mara Lee
For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin – real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way. Something to be got through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. ~Fr. Alfred D’Souza
We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same. -Carlos Castaneda
The age of the earth is about 4.55 billion years (give or take … some would argue) and by the looks of things a majority of the most intelligent life on the planet haven’t found the secret to happiness.
Maybe, it’s not a secret:)
… might have to rethink the most intelligent life on the planet part.
The Law Of The Wild says kill only when you are hungry.
Photographer Michel Denis-Huot, who captured these amazing pictures on safari in Kenya’s Masai Mara in October last year, said he was astounded by what he saw:
“These three brothers (cheetahs) have been living together since they left their mother at about 18 months old, he said. ‘On the morning we saw them, they seemed not to be hungry, walking quickly but stopping sometimes to play together. ‘At one point, they met a group of impala who ran away.. But one youngster was not quick enough and the brothers caught it easily’.”
These extraordinary scenes followed.
and then they just walked away without hurting him……….
May your day be filled with blessings!
Life is short… forgive quickly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably…and never regret anything that made you smile!
Have a great week!
Life is simple, it's just not easy.
As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn’t supposed to ever let you down probably will.
You will have your heart broken probably more than once and
it’s harder every time.
You’ll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken.
You’ll fight with your best friend.
You’ll blame a new love for things an old one
You’ll cry because time is passing too fast, and you’ll eventually lose someone you love.
So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you’ve never been
hurt because…every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back.
Don’t be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.
Love simply. Love generously.
Care deeply. Speak kindly.
And remember, no matter where you go, there you are. ~Confucius
Monday is my only day off.
That doesn’t mean that I don’t sit in front of my computer and try to accomplish one of my many tasks, before I go about my day.
Once I get in the car to start errands, thrift store shop, go to Target or lunch with one of my kids…I find myself feeling guilty that I’m not doing a million other things. Until yesterday. My goal was to clear my mind and just go along with the day. Chopping wood and carrying water, so to speak!
It’s a 25 minute drive to the Twin Cities from Jordan, Mn. so you have plenty of time to think…that is of course, if you don’t answer the phone and keep the radio turned off.
My surrendered minutes brought me to a place that I needed to go. I focused my thoughts and removed the guilt of doing nothing, just to give myself a chance to celebrate all that I am. Just me.
So who is this girl/woman/being named Mara?
