Creativity is a funny thing.
Anything can be decoupaged from a pair of high heels to your fridge. It’s just layering fabric, paper and glue. Any surface will do. If your counter-top has seen better days…Decoupage it! Just keep in mind that you have to seal, let dry, seal again, let dry and seal again and let dry completely, for a surface that is in constant use. TIP: Coat both sides of your images with decoupage glue for projects that are going to be sealed.
If you’re a scrap-booker or decoupage artist, you’ll want to try your hand at incorporating the two mediums. The process of mosaic tile and decoupage is somewhat time consuming but you’ll find that blending the two art-forms is quite exhilarating!
