A Mother’s Day

mother's day 2010
A mother's role is to deliver children obstetrically once, and by car forever after. ~Peter De Vries

Really miss the days of driving the kids to school (both ways). Most mornings were cold Pop-Tarts and different color socks. I really aspired to do the June Cleaver thing…it just never happened. Kids love me anyways!

A favorite mom of ours was spotted on her way back home from driving her kids to school. It brought back such wonderful memories of jumping into the car with my pj’s on or Gawd knows what.

At least she was smart enough to throw on a robe…and pants! Bonus!

Found out that the younger mom set call it the “Carol Burnett”

Motherhood has a very humanizing effect. Everything gets reduced to essentials.  ~Meryl Streep
