15 minutes of fame

When you jump for joy, beware that no one moves the ground from beneath your feet. ~Stanislaw Lec

Coined from Andy Warhol, who said in 1968 that “In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes.”

Okay, so it was a little longer than 15 minutes … but … no sooner was my blog  “Freshly Pressed” on WordPress, the flood gates opened. My virtual reward was replaced with the reality of life and death. (My mother became ill and hospitalized.)

Sitting in the hospital waiting room glancing at my iPhone, proved to be a day brightener…hundreds of blog comments, memories and the like, but the constant roller coaster of emotion was quite a challenge.

I guess Robert Gallagher was right… Change is inevitable – except from a vending machine.
