Short Bio

A Short Bio of Mara Lee

by R.J. Mishica

In this writer’s opinion, very few words are needed to describe, or better yet warn those who don’t see life as an opportunity… “Get Out Of The Way!”.

For many years I have been a first-hand witness of
the prowess, capability and determination of a person dedicated to learning and applying with precision that which she has mastered. Beyond the immediate recognition for doing that which man will never master, motherhood, a noble profession indeed, Mara has gone on to fund raise, market, promote, design, create, develop, manage, illustrate, edit, collaborate, coerce, coddle, generate and glue. She has juggled the image of Fortune 500 companies, mid-west businesses and local interests alike. I have witnessed her duct taping a phone to her hand to finish sales calls she had promised herself to make, as a stage manager using her body to prevent a scenery element from collapsing while being groped by Tony Orlando (but not Dawn), all the while composed and elegant, delivering success after success to those who trusted her to do so.

Mara’s life education, as would be admitted by most, surpassed that of her institutional training many years past. An avid approach to logic and using it as a means to solutions, is surpassed by none. I could spend hours touting her accomplishments, but would rather share my own wisdom in saying join the fun, or indeed you will be waving from the dock to the boat you missed.

  1. Hi,

Congratulations on being Freshly Pressed!! After a while of checking out and really enjoying the blogs featured on Freshly Pressed I got curious: How has being Freshly Pressed impacted to author(s) of the blog? Number of visitors? Personal, Professional impact? etc., etc. There are a ton of questions I could ask….but on this one I am leaving up to the bloggers to do what they do best….write about it. I would love to hear YOUR story about being Freshly Pressed…..I’d really enjoy updates in the future to see if the new fame lasted or was fleeting.

Cheers and Congrats! Now I am going to spend some time browsing around your blog!

    1. Hi Zach,
Actually, I haven’t been able to bask in the limelight of being freshly pressed, as my mother was rushed to the hospital early yesterday. Unfortunately, that is where I’ve been parked and ICU doesn’t allow computers, or cell phones, on the unit. However, I can tell you that it has been a humbling, exciting and overwhelming experience. But…as with anything…the paper on the bottom of the bird cage is always changed:) If I become more famous next week, I’ll let you know:)
      Keep writing!
      Wishing you a great day!

  5. What I adore about blogs is which they spark an concept in my brain. When that occurs, I feel as I require to comment using the hope it might be interesting to some individuals. Because you will find plenty of blogs and forums with many points of view, they question your comprehension. It is at these moments when you’ve important insignt other people might not have had, together using the blogger him/herself. I find myself coming back again to to your writings only because you have a number of really great insights and also you have been at this a very long time, that is really inspiring and tells me you know your stuff. Keep triggering imagination in other people!
