Gluer of things, when my fingers aren't stuck to a camera or keyboard.

The right tools for the job.

Lighten up … cutting takes practice.

If one of your resolutions is to bring more creativity into your life, think Pique Assiette Mosaic Tile!

Due to its random nature, anyone can do it!

Really, you’re just gluing stuff to other stuff.  Besides, it can be a very cheap hobby … or not. Depends on how obsessed you become.

To get started, find a space to call your own and stock it with the right tile tools, materials and adhesives.

Start small and you’ll grow from there … believe me.

 Best mosaic tile tools …

#1 Wheeled Glass Nippers have a set of disc shaped wheels on spring-loaded handles. They should be used to cut glass, mirror, glass tiles, and the like in a manner similar to tile nippers. Replacement wheels are sold separately.

#2 Mosaic Tile Cutter are designed for cutting ceramic tiles, crockery and china. Better tile nippers have tungsten-carbide cutting edges and spring-loaded handles.

#3 Weldbond Adhesive, e6000 Adhesive, Mastic and Grout

Always good to have nearby:

  • Small Penny Hammer
  • Wire Cutter
  • Needle Nose Pliers
  • Self-closing tweezers (a little more expensive than regular tweezers but well worth the investment.) Make sure to keep them glue free!
  • Toothpicks or wooden skewers
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Paper Towel
  • SAFETY GLASSES
  • Now all you need is a base, tile and some found objects. Ta da.

Be An Artist

Work in Progress

It’s magical when a piece of wood inspires me. Unfortunately, or fortunately, the objects gathered are still waiting for the rest of the story to unfold. You can’t force these things ya’ know. It’s a real thing.  Serious business gluing random objects to an old board. ;)-  we’ll see.

Well Done

Reflecting on 2018 and found myself thinking about all of the things that I said I was gonna get done and didn’t. But …  since I don’t make resolutions the woulda, coulda, shoulda side of the whole guilt trip thing is pretty much mute.

Besides, I made thousands of great decisions, sorta kept to one list, sold a ton of stuff,  stayed fairly organized, learned something new everyday and I can still button my old jeans. Well done!

Cheers to a Healthy and Happy New Year!

Letting Go

If you’re a plant person, you’ll understand that letting go of a plant isn’t easy – especially an old one – so after my 16-year-old Ficus was sold I visualized it thriving on the beautiful farm where a couple of childhood dogs supposedly lived. 😉 it’s all good, she’s a plant lady❣️
