Jake inspecting the world.
Love being snowed in.
It turns the volume down.
But then there’s the filthy car, wrecked shoes and the salt dust (on the car) that rubs off on your coat.
If you walk like a penguin, you won’t fall.
That’s all I’ve got.
Have a great day.

One of my biggest
pet peeves … people who don’t pick up after their dogs. No pun intended.
While I was searching for ways to spread the word, I ran across this … guess I needed a good laugh after avoiding piles all morning.
I talk to him when I’m lonesome like; and I’m sure he understands. When he looks at me so attentively, and gently licks my hands; then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes, but I never say naught thereat. For the good Lord knows I can buy more clothes, but never a friend like that. ~W. Dayton Wedgefarth

Punxsutawney Phil, the world famous Groundhog, crawled out of his burrow on Feb. 2nd and didn’t see his shadow.
Those of us in the Minnesota tundra find it hard to believe that we’ve only got two more weeks of winter.
If it’s true, we all better go out and buy a row boat … or an ark.
It’s a nice thought … Jake and I believe otherwise.
Before. On his way to a 2 night sleepover...not happy.
You could hear Jake say …
Why is all of my stuff in the car?
Where are you dumping me this time?
Are you ever coming back?
I don’t care if you buy me a new toy …
I want to go home.
Funny little kid!
After. We Better Be Going Home!

Adopting a puppy quickly reminded me of the amount of patience, time, money and nurturing that it takes to care for another soul.
With Jake it’s been a blessing … now 14 weeks old he (we’ve) quickly established a daily routine with a very cool synergy. We both count on it, everyday.
I’ve made peace with the fact that the routine that I had established for myself has been altered, in a big way …
Then there are the amazing things that I’ve now learned….
and finally…if you put your shoes away, they won’t get eaten.
Have a great Sunday!
P.S. Still looking for a recipe for an alternative to raw hide bones. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
