Random Jar Challenge – Earth Tones

How’d it go?

Well … I stared at the pile for weeks and right before bailing & failing,  I researched earth tones instead.

Earth Tones

Circa 1970  filled with muted and mellow nature shades in brown, avocado green, harvest gold, wood paneling, macrame, indoor plants, shag carpet, groovy boots, polyester leisure suits and Save the Earth signs.

Peace of Santa

The Santa head sat in a jar, with other doll heads, until he went on to become a part of this beloved Mosaic Tile Holiday Sign created during a mosaic tile class of the past.

This peace was created with a bit of vintage china, glass gems, glass hearts, pennies and a little peace of Santa all glued and grouted on to a vintage wood sign with a hanger.

Peace of Santa is an older chap who has led a gently loved life – with some minor bumps but not bruises –  and the finished peace measures approximately 8″ inches long x 4″ wide x 1″ deep with a built-in wire hanger and black painted back. On Sale Now!

Proceeds from this peace will be donated to a local food shelf in the North Country. Thank you.

Every Miniature Tells a Story

Studio space is still on the “to do” list so … I’ve resorted to gluing some of my cherished vintage miniatures to functional objects like jars …

Pooh Jars

… and more than a few of my vintage china saucers …

Ring Dishes

… and when I ran out of jars and china I found my eye hooks and ball-chain. spuds-mackenzie

In the coming days … watch for shop listings of the miniatures I can part with.
