hope you’re proud of yourself

For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it.

I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.

Glass on Glass Reboot

The new studio is still under construction so we moved a little desk into the corner of the porch/laundry room/back entrance for now.  Thanks, Robbie.

Studio Design Working in a small space is challenging and limits the amount of available materials but it also forces tidiness and focus which are really good things.

Glass on Glass Vintage Window Art Unfortunately – and fortunately – the earning a living and still unpacking things tend to get in the way of being a gypsy full time but I’m still having a blast getting there.

Glass on Glass Vintage Window Art The truth is … my dream progress is still happening behind the scenes and I’m quite proud of myself for making the time to create a new glass on glass vintage window project and filming the whole thing.

My little sis watched the video, she liked it, laughed a little and was even inspired to start creating her own peace so … I’m going to film the ending this weekend and hand it off to RJM to finish the edit and publish. I’ll keep you posted.

Have a great weekend!

10 Years Later

After Buddy passed in 2009, tilegypsy.com was born. Happy 10th Anniversary to us. 😉

Years earlier … my intention was to become a brick and mortar shop-keeper (I was) and tile artist (I am) who taught herself how to design websites (I did) and would live happily ever after until … the universe kept showing me the door … not once,  (I’m not a quitter) not twice, (pack-unpack) but 1/2 dozen times. Thanks for your patience, Robbie.

When one of my intentions show up, I try really hard to honor it but this time was different. The wretched (being kind) side of the human element literally forced me – with a good pummeling – to get off my butt and take a completely different path. Bravo. Mara Lee, take a bow, you rock!

My suggestion after being shoved toward enlightenment is to  …  arm yourself with a case of Kleenex, Fiji water and plenty of snacks … that way you’ll have a better chance of riding the courage wave, until you reach the shore.  You can do it water boy;) #hidave

In memory of my sweet Budders.
